Dr. Khan is the Founder and President of the Center for Elder Care. He was born in Gulbarga, India.
He completed medical school followed by a specialty fellowship at the Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital and the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in Bangalore. After leaving the National Institute, he worked in the mountains of Kurdistan for seven years. Dr. Khan furthered his education in the field of Gerontology, geriatrics, and end of life care in England, where he also became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). In 1991, he came to the USA and worked at a AIDS hospital in Jersey City. He then did a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine from University of Alabama in Birmingham, while also serving as an assistant professor in the UAB Huntsville campus.
Dr. Khan has been a resident of Huntsville since 1997.
In recent years, Dr. Khan has established a non-profit organization, the Center For Aging, that aims to improve the quality of life of the elderly population in Huntsville.
