Dr. Anand S. Balachandran started offering comprehensive cardiology services at the Heart and Vascular Clinic in 2016. He graduated from the University of Kannur in 2005. He later completed his residency training at The Brooklyn Medical Center. He was appointed the Chief resident for the residency program after which Dr. Balachandran underwent cardiology training at Weill Cornell Medical Center and at Mount Sinai-Beth Israel-Brooklyn Hospital Center fellowship programs graduating as the chief fellow.
He relocated to Huntsville, Alabama in 2016 and has been providing cardiac care to patients in Madison County with services at both local hospitals. His areas of specialization include Coronary Artery Disease, Cardiac arrhythmias, Hypertension, Hypercholesterolemia, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and other cardiac conditions. Dr. Balachandran has co-authored many articles in scientific journals and has been actively involved in medical research. He has been affiliated with several academic societies, and is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and is registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Vascular Sonography.
Dr. Anand S. Balachandran is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and he is a licensed physician in the State of Alabama.
